I’ve been pushing features to We all pay pretty hard for the past half year and it took me some time te realise that We all pay suffered from that. So I decided to freeze the code base in functionality and do something about all the visual issues it has been having.
On of the issues has to with the App Store. In the App Store We all pay still says Optimized for iPhone 5 and not Optimized for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. I did some digging and the things that Apple required for that line to appear on the App Store. I already added the @3x images on all images of We all pay, the first release after the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were released. However something else was missing for that line to appear in the App Store.
I’ve had some issues getting a white status bar. By default all the text always was black. I did some tricks on each screen for the status bar to be white. After all the navigation bar is a dark blue color. In the mean time I added a launch screen storyboard. But with every launch of We all pay the text in the status bar of the launch screen was black. Whatever I tried in the launch screen storyboard the status bar text was always black.
After some digging I came across the solution in forcing the App to take on a certain status bar style. White or Black. Every App has and info.plist it’s in this file where you can edit the default setting.
The next two values for the info.plist, have an influence on the status bar.
By adding these two values to the info.plist, I had both the status bar in the launch screen and it was visible. I hope this is usefull to you. So from version 1.5.2 We all pay will have a launch image that would make the App loading make it look more natural. Other thing is it would be advertised to be “Optimized for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in the App Store.
